first "major" storm of the year; 5 to 7 inches! wow - at least i have plenty of film, both B&W and color slide film. hope we get it so i can have something interesting to shoot other than all the brown stuff...
There are a few of us who still like snow. It really is very good for skiing.
Out here in Latte Land, we have had an "interesting" year with the snow, and also the freezing rain that came with it. There was a week back around the end of January when driving was best avoided.
With the snow, we have opportunities for some truly high contrast photographs. Even having the crocus and snowdrops coming up through the 1 & 1/2 inch of snow on the ground earlier this week was nice. Now that I have the ring flash ready, the snow is gone, and the temperature here this morning is 46 degrees F. Still, I keep thinking that officially we do have about two weeks of winter left, so we could get more.

Heh, surely you jest, Dave... Both Ralph and I are stuck in winter. About an inch of snow last night into this morning, then a couple snow squalls this afternoon and evening that were all show, but no go (not sticking on the ground).
