That F3HP is a beauty. To me this is the best Nikon camera before the AF models. They are very reliable and full featured. The prices of the F3 have now come down to the point that anyone that wants a pre-AF film camera should consider the F3 at the top of the list.
Shortly after I bought my D300, I came across the beautiful F3HP I have in my collection today, up at Hunt's in Manchester, NH. A true bargain, I got the gorgeous body, without a scratch or any brassing, the motor drive, Speedlight, eveready Nikon case, and 135mm f/2.8, all for the grand sum of $100. It has since become my second most loved Nikon film body, after mt father's black FE-2. The F3 is, to me, the ultimate manual focus 35mm camera.
I put a lot of film through my old F3HP. Just don't use it anymore...I get it out once in awhile and it's still a joy to handle. I had the SB-16 flash that mounted above the rewind crank; the position worked well for both H and V shots. It died though.
