A few minutes of your time could easily earn you the hottest new Markins ball head on the market. By filling out a simple 14 question membership survey you will greatly assist the Nikonians goal of tailoring products and services to the majority of our more than 50,000 members. All information gathered is processed strictly for confidential review within the Nikonians community and the names of participating members will be handled as anonymous. The data, with no names attached, is also valuable in serving our sponsors who are helping us to sustain the growth of the Nikonians community. Nikonians participating in the survey will be entered in a random monthly drawing for a Markins Q3 Emille ball head and their choice of the correct Markins camera plate.
I do participate in surveys, especially when I think the resulting data, (not just the possible prize), will be valuable to me, and I believe this could be. However when personal information such as income are asked for, I have to question why. The internet already knows too much about me, and I don't see the need for sharing my personal income and my total household income with surveys of this nature. Yes, ones buying habits do revolve around ones income, but this web site seems to be about service from one Nikon user to another, not sales & marketing. Although I am brand new to Nikonians, (one of those "non-paying" nag members), I have been a Nikon user for over 35 years. I was just recently turned on to this site by a friend, and, after further evaluation, will probably become a paying member. Roger
We only need to identify you for effects of the drawing. There is no interest or intention to know the particulars of any one individual. All data is stripped of personal identity information even before analizing the aggregate for median, averages, distributions, etc.
