In response to several inquiries, I will gladly sell the 12-24 without the Hoya UV(0) filter. If you like to purchase the lens only, deduct $35 from the listing price for a new listing price of $660.00 w/o filter.
Also, I checked the number of exposures that have been made with this lens, and per Lightroom it is about 840 shots, almost all of them interiors. It has never been in an abusive, outdoor situation. I have not used it in about a year since I acquired a D3/D700 and 14-24, so I checked last and it is working perfectly. It would be difficult to tell from new.
The 80-400 has only had about 1,200 exposures, taken at 2 crew regattas in good weather. About 2 months after acquiring the lens, I acquired a 200-400, and this lens has not been used since. I likewise checked it out last night, and it is working fine. It also would be hard to tell from new except for a few light rub marks on the hood.
Both lenses have been stored in a sealed Pelican case with a dehumidifier- in other words, a cool, dry environment. Both lenses have always had UV filters on them since originally opening the boxes.
