I am selling a beautiful Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 D EX APO IF HSM.
It is new and unused, and comes in the original green padded Sigma case. I don't have the box or papers for this one. This is a FANTASTIC lens which has gotten great reviews for sports, in particular and is a great alternative to the Nikon 300MM and gives greater range than the 70-200 2.8. These are SELLING (ie completed sales) for upwards of $1,600 on eBay, so I don't have much flexibility on the price for this lens.
Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Located in Northern California. Prefer local sale but I am flexible on this.
I based it off of actual complete sales for non OS models from eBay and they were coming at at $1450-$1500 generally with some use. This lens has not been used and is in essentially pristine condition so I listed it at $1600. That said, I have a LITTLE room to move .
The sale of this lens just fell through at the last minute so it is still available for anyone who is interested. It is a GORGEOUS piece of glass and in perfect condition. Drop me a message or PM if interested.
Have you or anyone watching this posting used the Sigma 2x teleconverter on this lens and have an opinion of how well it works? I'm actually looking for the pre-VR Nikon 200-400 ED but not having any luck.
Bill...I haven't...sorry but I suspect someone has. It's a pretty sweet lens. Having shot a soccer game yesterday with my Canon 200 1.8, I have decided that when I sell this, I DEFINITELY need the Canon version.
Ethan Meleg - a photographer up in Canada (http://www.ethanmeleg.com/) - has been showcasing shots taken with this lens on his Facebook feed for the past few weeks. I wish I could justify a need for this lens - it sure seems like a winner.
Ironic that we share the same first name. Wow, some lovely images on his site. Ya it is a fantastic lens. I am switching over to Canon or else there is no way that I would sell this lens. I just got back into shooting and inherited this lens which is essentially new. I plan to buy a Canon version of it soon as it is THE perfect lens for most sports.
