I like it and use it every time I am on the site (which is constantly when I am online). It keeps the newest and currently active threads/topics easy to find and access.
************************************** "Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours." - John Galt
I'm like Mick, I start at the Forums Lobby, and browse the unread from all of them.

I am generally resistant to change and when the site was redesigned I was not a fan. It didn't take long however to really like this feature. I now look at forums I never would have visited before. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your input. We are working on improving the site and we want to include members in the process. The idea is to provide "previews" of new areas before finalizing them to get feedback on it.
I expect that we will be able to start with having stronger member participation in this process end of this year and I am looking forward to see more participation from members in the various areas we will change and hopefully improve! Forums being one.

I tend to glance at the home page, mainly to see what new article may be up,then go to forums and check new. I do think however it is a great feature for someone just coming to Nikonians so they can get an idea what gets discussed here
