An update. I upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 BETA (build 7000, 32 bit). Spent many hours troubleshooting a lack of internet connection, which was ultimately resolved by uninstalling ZoneAlarm.
Nevertheless, I'm up and running:
Capture NX 2 and View NX work great (perform better) Spyder 3 Pro recalibrates and sets the profile correctly. pcspecialist3, you might want to check for an update from CV ... I received one (client and utility updated) recently.
So far it's at least as stable as Vista. Hope that helps, Ben
Thanks for the info, I'll look for the update though I bet there is nothing for x64 just yet.
And for anyone that is curious, Windows 7 does look promising, much more so than Vista ever was. Even in beta stage it is faster than Vista and I've never known a beta to be very fast compared to the final rtm so when this thing goes rtm I expect something from MS worth getting excited about and I haven't said that in many, many years.
driver support from hardware vendors already seems better than Vista was until recently - only in the last 6 months have I seem solid drivers for Vista. Sure, my Spyder3 doesn't have drivers yet (or maybe it now does) but I really didn't expect much from datacolor as their predecessor was pretty bad.
I using windows 7 ultimate release edition (what is being sold to the public since the official release)and there are some issues with win 7 and nx2. Mostly that Nx2 kicks you out unexpectedly. it's a pain and I'm waiting for Nikon to catch up to the 21 century (it seemed to take "decades" when vista was released years ago) an issue a fully win 7 compatible stable of software.
