Several of us have already acquired a Nikon D600. Why not post an image to show the quality of the camera for those who might be considering it.
Here's my entry, a picture I took of my daughter, Hannah, with my Nikon D600 and AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G VR (kit) lens at 85mm, handheld with VR, 1/60 sec at f/8, fill flash from pop-up speedlight, ISO 100, SD Picture Control, sRGB, camera-created JPEG. Image resized to 800 pixels in Photoshop CS6 with Bicubic sharper (best for reductions). No additional postprocessing.
I am quite impressed with the sharpness of this new Nikkor 24-85mm. Even wide open it is very sharp, with some corner softness. Stopped down to f/8 it seems sharp from edge to edge and quite contrasty, as you can see. This lens is a perfect match for the Nikon D600 and will do in a pinch as an emergency lens for the Nikon D800, too.
Ok, now it's your turn. Post an image that shows how well the camera—and maybe even the kit lens—does in some respect. Thanks!
