I, too, have a D600 coming, and you may not only want to replace your D7000, but your D800 as well. Since this is the D600 forum, I think that we have to consider that there are some of us who really do not want to deal with the file size that the D800 spits out.

As for your friend's problem with high ISO, I agree that she probably has not achieved proper exposure. If you are going to use high ISO settings then you have to nail the proper exposure settings.
