There could be some really major programing to update older programs to support newer cameras and that cost could be more than Adobe wants to pay.
If you want to continue to use the older Adobe products, you can use the updated Nikon View NX2 (a free product) to open the NEF and apply the in camera settings and the use the Nikon View NX2 "Open with..." to transfer the image to your Adobe product. You can do the same process with Nikon Capture NX2 but you could edit the NEF before transferting the image. Or you can get the free DNG Converter to convert the NEF files to a DNG file. The DNG Converter will not support the newer cameras until the ACR that supports the camera is released.
Adobe has moved fairly fast for this camera when compared to previous releases.
This is also a way for Adobe to get users upgrade their Adobe products.
