Hi Stan,

The AF 80-200mm f/2.8 ED and the AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED One Ring don't have a tripod foot. While it is less stable compared to the current two ring design with a tripod foot, when used on a tripod there shouldn't be any warranty issues.

I have used my AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED One Ring mounted on numerious bodies (F4, F5, F100, D70s, D2X, D200, etc... over the last 20 years or so without any issues with the tripod foot on the camera or the lens mount. I suspect that the D600 has a better build quality than the D70s.

Best Regards,
Marty
