"The D300S is a different concept. It's a semi-pro DX system camera and is an enthusiast camera. So really we're talking about two different types of product."
The D600 is an entry camera. It is FX ok, but really enthuiast/entry. D300s and D800(E) are pro. I think I could live with the D600, but I would be seriously missing the AF-ON button. Everything else was really nice, and I wouldn't mind the easier available functionality. So I would keep the D300s for action photos, and get the D600 when the prices drop, too high now I think, or get a D700 so I can share my grip. I would love the video function on the 600 though.
