I had switched from a Canon 50D to a D7000 2 years ago. Earlier this year I switched to the D600. I was not heavily invested in Canon (24-105f/4l, 700-200 f4, 430ex) and since i had bought used, did not lose much. While I'm certainly pleased with the Nikon gear, I'm not sure if this was really worth the effort. Looking back, the Canon gear was indeed capable of delivering high quality results... While the direct economic costs of shifting may not be much, I'd imagine it's still a pain to sell and buy all the new gear...
