Come to think of it, I think it's better to use both tripod mounts this way the setup is supported on the same plane and the setup is less likely to twist and hang at an awkward angle. Also having two points will allow you to adjust the orientation of the lens, the shorter the leash on the body the more vertical the lens will hang.if you want your lens parallel to the ground then you can shorten the lease on the lens. However the parallel orientation will put more stress on the lens mount than the vertical orientation.All of this is theoretical but will definitely try it out when I
get a generic rapid strap.Too bad there is no lefty op tech utility strap, though I can use it with the grippy side up or go with the classic
