Yep, I'm used to the smaller spread of af points, but given the choice I would still opt for them to be more widely spread - not a drama, but it would have been better imo.

Easy iso seems to take care of that problem for me - have you tried that function out yet?
>-Firmware again I guess (this one for me is not really a big >deal, but have read for others it has been?), live view mode, >yes we can adjust aperture while shooting pictures in live >view mode, but not in movie mode...
Agreed. I've also read (but not tested) that aperture adjustments in photo-lv don't show the impact on dof (I'd like it if it did) and that exposure compensation in movie-lv doesn't show the impact on the screen (again it would seem better if it did?). As I said, I've not tested these, so am only going on other's feedback.
>-Firmware again lol info display..seems to cut off quicker >than expected, would be nice to have settings, 5 sec, 10, 15 >sec and so on.
I don't really use that, so it's not something that's niggled me (yet)

I tried it, but stick with full fx all the time and then crop in post if needed. I only do this with my sigma 10-20 though as my other gear is ff (and the sigma will be swapped out for an ff replacement sooner or later)
>Overall impressions? > >Me personally I like how light it is, and its size as well, >fits in most camera bags no probs. also i like how fast it >focuses in low light, it's metering seems to be pretty >accurate, hardly adjust my exposure sliders in PP..same with >auto WB.
Agree with all of the above and also like:
auto iso adapting to focal length - this is a great feature if you are lazy/in a rush, both of which I usually am.
Jpegs seem great straight out of the camera - for the moment I shoot jpg and raw, with raw only being used if I make a mistake, or the shot has lots and lots of potential. For most "ambling around" photos I've found jpg to be great
Stuff I'd like:
All the firmware stuff that you mentioned Firmware update to allow more bracketed shots (yes, there are work arounds, but I don't see a reason not to extend this) In camera hdr to use 3 shots I'd love it if I could re-program the scene modes to suit my tastes, as I can with u1 and u2. That said u1 and u2 are doing me fine right now, it's just that the auto and scene modes have no use for me, so it's a waste imo. Lastly, and this, I suspect, is due to manufacturing constraints, it's a shame that two batteries cannot fit in the grip - actually, while I think about it, it's a shame that the grip has such a small dpad too
