I used to pull my hair out when we'd have these discussions over video years ago.
What the heck is "low light"? That is a 100% arbitrary and vague term. We can talk about light in lux, foot candles, or any number of other accurate and definable terms. So how about giving us some specifics of your lighting.
What F-Stop, shutter speed, and ISO are you struggling at. And if you set your ISO to 1600, and aperture to F4, what shutter speed to you need to set to get to a proper exposure. At least that would give us a target of where you're at.
It's quite likely that other people's "low light" is not the same as yours.
