With all due respect, I think I am VERY aware of what M mode is. It means MANUAL. But that means that YOU are setting the shutter speed and aperture. So you are. But YOU are ALSO putting it in AUTO ISO. See the *AUTO* part of that? How do you think the ISO is being selected? It's surely not MANUALLY. It's AUTOmatically being set by the camera. How does it do that? The SAME way that it chooses shutter speed when you're in A mode, or the same way that it choose aperture when you're in S mode. So at the end of the process, you are getting an AUTO exposure, even though you have chosen what may appear to be a manual mode.
