That is an excellent price. Refurb cameras can be just about anything that was returned to the distributor, from defect return to opened returns due just changing the first buyer's mind. More and more cameras are being returned nowadays because they are being purchased along with others to hold one and figure out which the buyer wants to keep. The others are sent back and can't be sold as new. Due to fewer and fewer local cameras stores surviving with the trend towards on-line purchases, buyers often have never even seen the model before so buying one is one of their only chances to hold one, besides renting or jointing a camera club which has members with the same model. We all pay more because of this trend. It is pretty costly to the dealers and distributor so the higher costs are passed onto the rest of us who buy knowing that we want it.
