Thank you everyone for your answers. I went out today and photographed ice falls in western CO. In 11 to 18 degree temps. Shot for about 2 hours paying attention not to warm up the camera to fast when back at the car. Battery seemed to hold it's charge but I don't know what to expect because this was my first time out with the D600.
