Hi will. I've traded all my DX lenses except my Tokina 12-24 WA lens. On the D600, pics exhibit vignette up to 17-18mm and nothing thereafter. So basically, on my D300, the 12mm was equivalent to 18mm. The Tokina may be used as wide on the D600 as on the D300.
