One of the first few shots - nothing very set up at all - this is my Yorkie, Max. His coat is shiny and with other cameras I have, it often blows highlights.

The contrast and color here is what I like and I barely touched anything in LR. I did warm the white balance some -- Nikons tend to shoot a bit cool for my tastes.

Anyway - shot at ISO 100 - 24mm f/10,160th of a second.

Thought I'd add this, I was wanting to see how the 24-85mm VR performed. This lens appears quite sharp and for me, has a pleasing bokeh.
