"RE: Rethinking the RAW/JPEG paradigm"
Will, I think you are smart to keep working with RAW files rather than jpegs. There is a lot more dynamic range and flexibility for tonal adjustment in the RAW capture. Let me cast my vote for Lightroom. I couldn't be without it. It is pretty easy to get started with LR but there are a lot of features that are not obvious at first and I think an investment in some tutorials is worthwhile Julianne Kost's Adobe TV (free) tutorials are a very good start.http://blogs.adobe.com/jkost/lightroom-training-videosGeorge Jardine's videos are superb in every way and I highly recommend them if you decide to purchase Lightroom. Not too expensive and more than worth their cost. http://mulita.com/blog/?page_id=2
