I am interested in trading in my nice D300 for a new D600 at my local full service Nikon dealer (Campus Camera in Kent, Ohio.) I am not too heavily invested in Nikkor DX lenses as my goal is to keep things simple. I miss my decades of shooting a F or FM2 with a 28mm prime lens. Do you think I am in a favorable position to make the change to a D600 if I dispose of my lenses as follows?
DX AF-S 35mm f/1.8G - will sell DX AF-S Micro 40mm f/2.8G - will sell DX AF-S 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VRII - will give to my son who owns a D7000.
Will keep these: AF 50mm f/1.8D AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR The new 28mm Nikkor lens will go on my wish list
I also own two SB-600 Speedlights which I understand will still work fine on the D600.
