We're not quibbling over 1/3 stop. At 1/250, fill is often 1 stop too weak. Now it's 1.333 stops too weak. Moving the flash closer is not an option, unless I don't mind seeing the flash and light stand in the picture. I would need more flash heads, which is very bulky and burdensome in my case. I want the flash sync to go in the other direction, faster.
I used to shoot my groups with MF and could sync to 1/500 with a copal shutter and my fill was nice at just 1.33 stops under, but alas, digital killed that. Besides, why should we have to be creative and make things work, when we shouldn't have to be hassled with it?
