I shoot large groups outdoors and 1/250th is rather hard to work with, and I have always felt it was too slow for my professional needs, but OK for my hobby shots. The 1/200th sync would cause a substantial loss in fill. My flash to subject distance is 25', so I don't know whether I could use the D600 on a paying job.
I guess I could invest in more Speedlights to increase my GN, but I would rather not. The extra 1/3rd stop would be summed to an already marginal situation for me. It's not a deal breaker for most of my photography though.
