Really? How's that image quality in the corners? Is it good enough to say that it "works?"

How often do you use ISO 3200 or higher? I don't think that they're very different until you get to ISO 3200.
I'm not trying to convince you not to do the upgrade, just that you should be realistic about what requirement you have. It's an expensive step, so you should be certain of what you're doing and why you're doing it.
