I've shot it. It's very nice. I'll be more interested when it's 24MP. For me, I don't really need "fast cameras" for how I shoot. I have MUCH more need for high ISO cameras or high MP cameras. Other than volleyball, I feel like I have all day to get focus. And other than soccer (for goals), I feel like I could still run a hand-winder with film.
This is not to say that I wouldn't enjoy a D4 under a lot of circumstances, but not for the money they are asking for it. For that price, I'd rather buy a 400/2.8 or 200-400 (used).
>Perrone, >You should rent a D4 for a day. >The camera is a real image taking machine. >Right out of the box, it is so fast in every way that it is >hard to miss a shot. >The XQD card makes everything even faster. > The newest version is more than twice the speed of the Lexar >1000 which you can also still use. >The 16MP D7000 produces really great pictures. >So far it appears the the D4 FX images are better. >And I even like the feel of the camera better than my D3 or >D800. > >
