I'm new but I guess that's pretty obvious. I've been lurking on the sidelines for the past few weeks and now with the D600 I'm ready to go into debt. I'm not all that experienced although I do know the basics and I’ve been shooting for about 30-years as a hobbyist with a little bit in my job (close up engineering work).
In any event I currently shoot FF w/Zeiss on a Sony but I want something a bit more forgiving to my aging eyes and less stable hold. The D800 was my first choice although I was concerned for the more demanding 36mp. I love to shoot when I’m on the streets in Italy and there really isn’t much opportunity to use a pod of any type unless you just forego the streets.
The D600 seems to be the perfect match for my needs although I can actually swing the D800. I’ll likely go for the usual 24-70 and perhaps add a CZ (35~28) just for fun. As a newb’ I don’t have any Nikon gear so any advice is appreciated.
