Very well said, David! I still shoot with a D300, and have gotten very used to bracketing 5 shots, placing a focus indicator on a point in the frame and firing away, hand holding at 6 fps. While it's worked very well for me, it's definitely the lazy way (thank you Photomatix!). There's no reason at all, why one couldn't manually bracket and take as many or as few exposures as desired.

I'm seriously considering a D600. For me this is a non issue.
