What's disposable income? For me switching to a D600 from my D7000 is a gamble. I will have to sell mine plus all my DX lenses to come close, even then I will have to come up with around $500. I'm just not the gambling type. I'm like Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith show. I only have one bullet.
If you didn't see any improvement in your images, John, then what's the point? I have handled the camera in a store, and don't get me wrong. I liked it. Loved the big viewfinder and how it handled like my D7K.
I think I will wait and see how the D600 fares. Already hearing stuff about it, so letting the bugs get worked out is always a good strategy before getting into a new camera. I am scared that if I sell a perfectly functional camera and the D600 turns out to be a bomb, I'm screwed.
