Morning! Well I sold my D300 and some lenses and looking for a new FX Nikon. Really only 2 in my price range “D800 and D600” I have a 50mm 1.8---don’t we all, and a 70-300VR. Of course the D600 is at the top of my list. I starting selling my 70-300 VR lens but forgot "actually didn't know" it will work with FX cameras. Might get the D600 kit when I’m ready meaning the 24-85VR. I am in no great hurry and I have been following the forums on the D600 for info. I was thinking of a D800 1st but now the D600. I am used to the F100, D200, and the recently sold D300 build quality and am somewhat concerned about the built quality of the D600. I like a substantial feeling camera, BUT again it comes down to image quality. I usually buy extended warranties—from Nikon not the store ones, because after the manufacturer’s warranty ends it can get very expensive to fix. Any owners go from the D800 to the D600? Happy?
I wonder if closer to the holidays Nikon will drop it's prices a little, I hate buying something only to go on sale 2 weeks later. Although Crutchfiled has a 60 day return policy and I wonder if it coversd prices drops?
