Sorry not an answer to your question, but my hope is that the D800e eliminates the capture sharpening step. Not that I mind doing it, but that every PP step has the potential to introduce artifacts, so I'm hoping for a reduction in potential for sharpening artifacts.

These hopes are however secondary to the hope that I will someday actually take possession of a D800e.

My fortune cookie at lunch said "you will soon gain something you have always desired." Not that I've always desired a D800e. but it's starting to feel like a long time.
