I'm certainly pleased my mine so far, and as a fellow owner of a Les Paul (57 Gold Top), as well as a few other guitars, I can relate. My CJ-7 isn't running at the moment, so I'm not quite as happy on that front, but I did shoot with Pentax medium format in the past and enjoyed it (67II and 645nII). I believe the sense of "no excuses" quality that drives you to achieve more, coupled with ergonomics that are very fluid and get out of your way, all make for a satisfying experience. I don't need a large number of intricate features, but I do value the ability to customize the camera to my tastes. There's no doubt in my mind that the only things holding me back with the D800 are my own skill and creativity, at least when it comes to the kind of photography I value most.
