ExtremePic: I got my D800 today (local dealer) upgrading from a D300 and now retiring my D200 (which joins my D100). I also got somewhat out of focus pictures. Even though I have a fair amount of experience and have the good Nikkor lenses, I felt somewhat overwhelmed by the camera. Its an FX camera versus my DX experience. I did not give up and by days end I had close to 600 shots most of which were in VERY SHARP focus unless I had operator error. I learned the different focusing controls. There is ALOT to learn from this camera. Bear in mind that I had already read the camera manual before I got her and still felt the challenge. I kept it simple and moved slowly thru the various hurdles; its part of the fun of learning photography which IMO never ends.
