When a camera maker designs a new product they mostly want the features that appeal to the most number of users. If you fall outside of that target group then you have to look elsewhere. It sounds like you want D4 noise performance in a D700 body at a D700 price. As of today that won't happen. Your best choice is the D700 which is far better then your D90.
