I agree. The small ML-L3 remote is a much better approach for MLU shooting than having to use a cord like the MC-30. I can't tell you how many times I've been shooting on a windy day and had to contend with the MC-30 cord blowing around. I use the ML-l3 with my D7000 and really like it.
