The jacks are "normaled" which means the signal path goes through switch contacts on the jack itself. The normally on connection connects the internal mic to the preamplifier input. When a plug is inserted, that switch contact breaks and connects the preamplifer to the external mic tip and ring and shield.
So, the internal mic is disabled when any plug, even a dummy plug is inserted.
