"RE: Auto-White balance is off - setting somewhere?"
I just tried some shots at different WB settings on a D800E and the colour temps given by ACR don't match the ones given on page 145 of the Nikon manual.e.g.D800E on Incandescent - the manual says it's 3,000K but ACR says it's 2,950K with a tint of +2.D800E on Fluorescent 4 Cool White - the manual says it's 4,250K but ACR says it's 3,950K with a tint of +39.D800E on Direct Sunlight - the manual says it's 5,200K but ACR says it's 5,050K with a tint of +8.D800E on Flash - the manual says it's 5,400K but ACR says it's 6,150K with a tint of +7.D800E on Cloudy - the manual says it's 6,000K but ACR says it's 5,750K with a tint of +5.D800E on Shade - the manual says it's 8,000K but ACR says it's 7,200K with a tint of +14.D800E on K 5000 - it should be 5,000K but ACR says it's 4,850K with a tint of +9.For all shots - Picture Control was on Standard. Exposure on Manual. No tweaks to default WB presets.
