Years ago, I bought a Porsche 911. I wasn't a sports car driver, per se, but the 911 had many factors that amazed me. #1 factor was that the machine would make up for my driving limitations and experience. Every drive, I could push the machine to the limits and it would always pull through and give me great pleasure.
Same with the D800. I have 25K acutuations on my D300 and loved it...till I moved into the D800. The feel, the flexibility, and the results the D800 is giving me is similar to the feeling that I had with my 911. The camera system KNOWS.
I know that photography is much more than the hardware. However, with great hardware, one can push the limit and become a better photographer....and driver.
Thanks to Nikon and it engineering staff for designing State of the Art.
