Nice, I was excited when I got received my D800. I've found even with a full day of shooting in Yellowstone I never drained 2 batteries. I found my 300mm F/2.8 VR II lens was the go to lens as I could hand hold it and was easier to pull out. I have the 400,500 and 600 g lenses, but find I don't use them that much, probably more due to a lack of time than not wanting to.
I have the 800 arriving today (hurry up UPS) and hope to get some time to shoot in the Tetons this Labor day weekend....work commitments may say otherwise.
I didn't really find the battery grip much use except for maybe making the D800 looking aesthetically more whole. If I want a higher frame rate I'll pull out the D4.
