The first problem I immediately see and undoubtably due to the use of flash, is that the white feathers are blown out. For such a tiny bird (is it really only 2inches long?) the sharpness of the eye, beak and adjacent feathers are about the same sharpness to my eye as the branch. The branch is bending forward to, so could be at the same distance as the beak. I don't there much to worry about, however unless the bird was completely static 1/250 may be a bit slow.
