I'm obsessive and still want raw, and it's going to make me buy a new computer, I can tell.

But:

Yes! Partly the long dry spell without a new camera, but partly it opened up areas that did not work well for me before, the extra dynamic range, a bit higher ISO, and ability to capture action in a larger frame then crop in post processing means I get shots I could not get before. It's not like the revolutionary change from film to digital, but it is a pleasant evolutionary improvement.
