Many systems have combined transmitters and receivers. That lets you support different configurations assuming you have enough of them. You need at least two for simple camera triggering. CyberSync has various combinations of receivers and transmitters for cameras, studio lights and speedlights (both automatic and manual). Transmitters are very small and the battery lasts for years. Receivers are slightly larger and can trigger flashes or a D800. Range is more than 100 hundred feet.
