>I hope Nikon addresses this with a firmware update. As Brian said the D7000's are likely working as Nikon intend. The matrix metering is upgraded - which means a mix of success and failures compared to other matrix systems. I had issues going from F100 to the different F6 matrix - which took me 2 rolls of film to learn - and quickly realised F6 matrix was overall better. I rate D3/300 matrix as overall better than F6/D2 series. I have had the D7000 only a couple of weeks - and am coming to the conclusion overall it is the best yet - provided you do not make the error of assuming matrix is always exactly the same as on earlier cameras.
Photography is a bit like archery. A technically better camera, lens or arrow may not hit the target as often as it could if the photographer or archer does not practice enough.
