As for "money than sense and their photography still sucks even with expensive professional grade lenses", this is true also with those who haven't pro lenses. It is equally true of a rush to buy the newest camera Nikon release. This will always be the case. Yes, pro lenses are expensive, and the new FX camera will be equally so. Dollar for dollar I know which of them will be worth more in 5 years and it won't be the camera.
Apart from quality, but because of it too, a reason why pro glass is worthwhile is that second hand values remain high. I have both pro glass and other glass, each have their place and should be judged on their merit, not on their price. However, if one can afford pro glass then of course go for it.
