"RE: Goodbye, DX"

I sold my D7000 last night. I bought my second FX body in April 2012 and had only put 150 actuations on my D7000 since August. I hate having gear lay around so I sold it. I was bringing the D7000 out on photo weekends but it was just sitting in the bag, since it just isn't practical to have more than two cameras in use at once.

I must say I absolutely loved that 16mp sensor and still do. Many memorable photos and gorgeous images. I think the D7000/D7100 line is a fantastic value in the Nikon lineup, great way to go. I shoot a lot of low light and/or in birding I need high shutter speeds, so FX is good for both these applications.

It went to a good home, serious OM-D and Fuji shooter bought it, and his daughter is taking a photo program in the fall so she will use it too.

No regrets, I plan to get another DX camera down the line when the D400 comes out, but uncharacteristically I may not early adopt as I really could use a 120-300mm for a bunch of things that I do. I had the very first local D7000, back in the day, 20,690 actuations.

Just wanted to say my D7000 was a GREAT camera, and it ultimately did cause me to sell my D300.
Best regards, SteveK
