I've never used a refrigerator since I wanted warm temps. I have put my camera in front of a heat vent. I've also heard of putting it in a sealed bag with a little uncooked rice to absorb moisture.

Jon - good idea about a towel. Even if it gets wet, the towel keeps most of the water off the camera. You can just wring it out if it is too wet.
