There are rechargable battery packs made specifically for the iPxd and many with a USB port on them, so you can use your phone's cord.

I like the iGo line as there are a battery pack, a solar charge, and multi-source computer power supply/charger that can share cords and one only needs a charging tip for a specific device. There is even a led light head and a AA/AAA charger.
