Thank Eric...I did speak to Nikon and the rep was pleasant and did try to help me but when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told the supervisor was "too busy"...9pm ET and he's too busy to speak with a customer...hmmm?
I will call my retailer tomorrow and demand action.
I really don't understand this hierarchy/chain of command thing with Nikon...I am the customer, I am the owner of the device that broke. Why can't I speak with Nikon about MY camera? The retailer is the conduit/depot to send/receive orders and repairs but you are right, they should be stepping up to assist me.
