08-Oct - dealer calls with news Nikon is going to charge me for repair not under warranty. Camera was bought in January 2011.
12-Oct - called dealer to get status of repair. They call back two hours later stating Nikon will repair in 10-14 days. I call Nikon to "discuss" situation about not repairing under warranty and the amount of time it is taking them to get back to the dealer with repair news and the amount of time it is going to take to repair. They won't speak to me without retailer's account number. Call dealer and they are reluctant to give me the information.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? From some of the replies and other Nikon owners that I have spoken, no one has been treated like this. Where is the consistency in applying warranty service?
